Brits invited to discover "nautical Brittany" |
People planning villa holidays in Brittany during the October half-term have been invited to discover the nautical attractions that the region has to offer.
Brittany is well known as a sailing, yachting and cruising destination and, according to the local tourist board, offers a range of attractions on this theme from as little as 38 (£30) per family per day.
One of the locations that holidaymakers can visit is the Cite de la Voile, or Sailing Museum, in Lorient, which is located on the shores of the Atlantic.
This interactive museum explores the past and present of French sailing and boasts high-tech simulators that put visitors behind the wheel of a racing boat.
In Brest, people on villa holidays in Brittany will find Oceanopolis, which is home to more than 10,000 marine animals, including penguins, seals and sharks.
Visitors who want to expand their knowledge of oceanic wildlife even further can visit the Grand Aquarium in St Malo, which offers an exciting submarine experience and touch pools where visitors can get up close and personal with the animals.
