Holidaymakers urged to try Cyprus in November |
Villa holidays in Cyprus could be the perfect way for Brits to delay the beginning of the cold winter, according to a travel writer.
Nick Trend writes in the Daily Telegraph that autumn sunshine "lingers longer in Cyprus than in any other part of the Mediterranean".
In Paphos, one of the leading destinations for villa holidays in Cyprus, average temperatures reach a high of around 21C, while the sea is often warmer than in May at around 22C.
With a flight time of only four hours between the UK and Cyprus and the high chance of good weather, the Mediterranean island is described as "a great place to stave off the beginnings of winter".
Cyprus offers a number of activities and attractions to visitors, with large cities such as Paphos, Larnaca and Limassol boasting plenty of museums, galleries and theatres.
Brits taking villa holidays in Cyprus will have no problem finding luxurious beaches to relax on, as well as a number of archaeological sites that offer a glimpse of the island's fascinating history.
