New flights to Spain to launch from London |
British travellers planning villa holidays in Spain now have a wider range of flights to choose from following an announcement from low-cost airline Ryanair that it will be launching new services from London Gatwick in December.
The carrier will fly daily to Girona on the Costa Brava and twice-daily to Alicante on the Costa Blanca from December 18th.
These new connections, which will be of interest to people planning stays in villas in Spain, are Ryanair's first Spanish services from Gatwick, with the majority of the airline's flights operating from Stansted airport.
Michael O'Leary, the carrier's chief executive, said: "Ryanair is delighted to announce two new routes from London Gatwick to Barcelona and Alicante from December 18th.
"In 2009 Ryanair will bring its guaranteed lowest fares and no fuel surcharges to 65 million passengers."
People planning villa holidays can reach a number of popular European destinations with Ryanair, including Faro, Palma de Mallorca, Limoges and Pisa.
