Roman Forum included in collective ticket |
Access to the Roman Forum is set to be included in the price of a ticket to enter the nearby Colosseum and the Palatine Hill.
The development could lead to improvements for people staying in villas in Italy as the proceeds from the ticket sales are set to go towards restoration works at the Forum and other popular locations in Rome.
One of the Italian capital's most famous and popular tourist attractions, the Roman Forum was the central area around which ancient Rome was developed.
It served as the area where commercial matters were discussed and justice administered.
Visitors can find a number of structures and sites within the Forum, including a statue of Julius Caesar, the Temple of Romulus, the Shrine of Venus Cloacina and the Arch of Tiberius.
The city of Rome has been pursuing a number of changes to its ancient attractions recently.
On March 10th, the frescoed palace of Emperor Augustus on Palatine Hill will reopen after restoration work.
