Rome Film Festival reveals all |
Organisers of this year's prestigious Rome Film Festival have revealed that work from more than 30 countries will be shown.
The event, being held in April, will see up to 80 contributions from independent filmmakers from, among others, France, Greece and Spain.
Fans of the big screen with villas in Italy are invited to enjoy 20 full-length feature films, 18 documentaries and 30 short films none of which have been made in studios.
Prizes will be awarded in eight categories with the organisers hoping the event will encourage more participation in film making from local communities.
So far, a number of films have been confirmed to be screened at the event held between April 18th and 24th.
These include The Class (Klass) by Ilmar Raag and Beneath The Stars (Bajo Las Estrellas) by Felix Viscarret - a project which has already been nominated for eight Goya Awards.
Last year's top prize went to Nick Lyon's film "Punk Love".
